Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NextSector (the "Service"), operated by NextSector ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service is an AI-assisted tool that helps transitioning military service members translate their military occupational experience into civilian-facing resume language, along with related features such as role matching, certification (COOL) links, clearance-level display options, professional summary generation, readiness scoring, and PDF export.

The Service is assistive, not advisory. Output is generated with AI and is a starting point for you to review, edit, and verify — not a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular employer or application. The Service does not guarantee that you will secure an interview, job offer, or employment of any kind, and is not a substitute for official military transition program guidance, a career counselor, or professional resume writing services.

No guarantee of candidate fit or employer reliance. The Service does not warrant, and is not responsible for, whether a resume created using the Service accurately or completely represents your qualifications, experience, skills, or fitness for any role. We are not responsible for any hiring decision, interview outcome, or employment outcome, and we accept no liability to any employer, recruiter, or other third party who reviews, relies on, or makes a decision based on a resume or other content generated using the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any resume you submit to a prospective employer accurately reflects your actual qualifications and experience.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be able to lawfully enter into these Terms to use the Service.

3. Access Passes and Payment

Access to the resume builder is sold as a one-time, non-recurring Pass (currently a 90-Day Pass, a 180-Day Pass, or, for eligible returning customers, a Welcome Back Pass), or granted via a single-use access code issued by a sponsoring institution (such as a Transition Assistance Program office). No Pass is a subscription — nothing renews or charges automatically. Access expires automatically at the end of the stated period; you may purchase a new Pass at any time to regain access.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number. Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected automatically based on your location at checkout.

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds. See our Refund Policy for full details, including the limited exception for genuine billing errors.

4. Institutional Licenses and Access Codes

Institutions (such as TAP offices, base education centers, or veteran service organizations) may purchase a set number of single-use access codes for their program participants. Each code may be redeemed once, by one individual, for the stated access period. Codes are not transferable for value, do not expire on a fixed date unless separately agreed with the purchasing institution, and are subject to the same no-refund policy as any other purchase. An institution's purchase is governed by these Terms together with any separate agreement executed between the institution and the Company.

5. Your Content and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the information you enter into the Service, including your military experience, personal information, and any other content you submit ("User Content").

You must not upload, type, or otherwise enter any classified, Secret, Top Secret, Confidential, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), For Official Use Only (FOUO), or other government-controlled or sensitive information into the Service, under any circumstances. You acknowledge this requirement separately before using the resume builder. You are solely responsible for the information you submit, and the Company is not responsible for the accidental collection, storage, or exposure of any classified or controlled information you enter despite this warning.

You represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy before using it in any application, submission, or professional context.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data
• Redeem, sell, or distribute access codes you were not authorized to receive
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation
• Misrepresent your military service history or credentials

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by the Company and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the User Content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending it to our AI provider for translation and generation, as described in our Privacy Policy).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of employment opportunity, income, or data, arising from your use of the Service. This includes any hiring decision made by, or any reliance placed by, an employer, recruiter, or other third party on a resume or other content generated using the Service, and any mismatch between that content and a candidate's actual qualifications or performance. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; because Passes are non-recurring, there is no subscription to cancel.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
