Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information NextSector ("we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to anyone who creates an account or uses the resume builder.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: the email address and password you use to create an account.
• Resume content: the military experience, personal information (name, contact details, location), target role, certifications, clearance level (if you choose to display it), and any other content you enter into the resume builder.
• Payment information: handled directly by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference to the transaction, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Access code and institutional information: if you redeem an institutional access code, we record that the code was used and by which account, so it cannot be reused.
• Basic usage information: standard technical logs (such as request timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and save your resume progress
• To send your military experience to our AI provider so it can generate civilian-facing translations, role matches, summaries, and readiness scores
• To process payments and grant access to the resume builder for the period you purchased
• To generate the PDF resume you export
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content for advertising.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage for your account, resume data, and entitlement records.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes the military experience and other resume content you submit in order to generate translated bullets, role matches, summaries, and readiness scores.
• Stripe — processes payments and calculates applicable sales tax. Stripe has its own privacy policy governing the payment information it collects directly from you.
• Railway — hosts the application infrastructure.

We do not share your resume content with employers, recruiters, or any third party other than the providers listed above, except where you export or share a PDF yourself.

4. Do not upload classified or controlled information

The Service is not authorized or intended to process classified, Secret, Top Secret, Confidential, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), For Official Use Only (FOUO), or other government-controlled or sensitive information. You are responsible for what you submit. See our Terms of Service for the full acknowledgment you agree to before using the resume builder.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account exists, so that you can return and continue where you left off — including after a Pass expires, since your draft is separate from your access period. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls that restrict your data to your own account. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update most of your resume information directly in the builder, or contact us for account-level requests.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Cookies

We use only the minimal cookies/local storage necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the resume builder. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
